Welcome to the MaeVora Skin blog.
It felt only right that our very first post begin with our story—and with where we're going next.
You may have known us as Glow Formulas, but as the brand grew, I realized our vision had grown beyond the name we started with.
Today, I'm so excited to welcome you to MaeVora Skin.
Why MaeVora Skin?
After years of working directly with acne clients as an esthetician, I've seen just how overwhelming skincare can become—especially when you're dealing with acne as an adult.
There are endless products, conflicting advice, viral ingredients and routines that seem to change every week.
I wanted MaeVora to be different.
Effective acne care shouldn't require you to become your own skincare expert.
MaeVora Skin was created to give women with acne-prone skin effective products they can trust, straightforward education they can understand, and a clear approach to caring for their skin.
Because treating acne matters.
But so does protecting the health of your skin along the way.
That's why our approach brings together acne-fighting ingredients, hydration and barrier support, with products thoughtfully selected for acne-prone skin.
More Than Products: A Clearer Plan
One of the biggest lessons I've learned from working with acne clients is that having good products isn't enough if you don't know how to use them.
What should you use first?
How often should you use an acne treatment?
What happens if your skin becomes dry?
How long should you give your routine before deciding it isn't working?
What ingredients or products could be contributing to your breakouts?
And what do you do when your skin suddenly changes?
Those are the questions I want MaeVora to help answer.
As we grow, you'll see more of the MaeVora Method—our approach to taking the guesswork out of acne care with effective products, education and a routine that makes sense.

This blog will be an extension of that education.
We'll talk about adult acne, pore-clogging ingredients, acne triggers, barrier health, skincare ingredients, treatment timelines, product routines and what to do when your skin isn't responding the way you expected.
I'll also share what I've learned from years of working directly with acne-prone skin—because I want you to understand not only what you're using, but why you're using it.

Our name may have changed from Glow Formulas to MaeVora Skin, but the reason behind what we do hasn't.
I want to help make acne care feel less confusing—and help you get your skin where you want it to be.
